Join the Team as Post-Doc! - Currently we are offering an Open Position for this exciting project.

We are looking for a self-motivated postdoc researcher to join our multi-disciplinary team to looking at using recombinant protein technology to modify bacterial cellulose properties.

Please find more information about the position here.

The aim of the project is to develop a new, biologically based, efficient fabrication process for bio- based textiles.

Our focus is on hydrophobicity for bacterial cellulose (BC) based textiles using recombinant hydrophobic proteins. We will develop a proof of principle which addresses the whole life cycle of BC based textiles from the integration of biological molecules into the production of BC, through the properties of the materials and their robustness in life through to their end-of-life biodegradability.
