Research assistant
POC – Carbon Recycling
Overview
We are now seeking to appoint a highly committed, motivated and creative scientist to join the research team at Northumbria University. The Post will create the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team as well as the project associated with the carbon recycling network proof of concept award. This POC project which is a 6 month project, will involve areas of fermentation using CO2 utilising bacteria, microbial fuel cell usage and analysing production of a product.
For the Research Assistant grade you should hold or being close to completion of, BSc covering microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or related subjects.
You have to be able to work independently and as a team member, and also present multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential.
