Research Associate
I am a researcher at Northumbria University with a background in enzyme characterization of plant-degrading enzymes. I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Sunderland and a PhD in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry from Northumbria University.
My current research involves collaboration with Proctor and Gamble’s Newcastle Innovation Centre developing novel enzymes for applications that make everyday household cleaning products more environmentally friendly. Research into identifying new and more sustainable biotechnologies is funded through the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA).
