
Mahab Aljannat
Research Associate Biological Support for the Built Environment
Mahab was awarded a BSc degree in Biology and an MSc degree in Parasitology from Baghdad University before completing her integrated PhD programme in Molecular Microbiology at the University of Nottingham in 2017. During her time at Nottingham, Mahab received several awards including the Early Researcher of Excellence Award for outstanding academic achievement. She then spent three years as a lecturer at the University of Al Qadisiyah, where she built a wealth of knowledge in her field through teaching as well as supervision. Mahab is currently a post doctoral research associate in the HBBE at Newcastle University. She is also a member of the American Society for Microbiology and the Microbiology Society
