Biodesign Challenge (BDC) and the Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment (HBBE) are holding an online symposium on November 11, at 2pm (CET) to further the biodesign community in Europe. We hope to create a networked regional body that brings together practitioners, research institutions, and students to explore, share resources, and discuss teaching techniques.

To kick off the network, we are inviting speakers from across Europe to discuss their perspectives on biodesign. Also included will be short talks by BDC alumni about their projects and their design processes. The event will act as a catalyst for subsequent workshops that will take place in December.

The event is free and speakers will include Brenda Parker & Marcos Cruz (UK), Anastasia Pistofidou (Spain), Clemens Winkler (Germany/Switzerland), Eric Klarenbeek (Netherlands), Svenja Keune (Germany/Sweden), Carolina Obregon & Giovanna Danies (Colombia) and a selection of Biodesign Challenge alumni from across Europe.
